A geochemical and petrological study to constrain the magmatic history of St Kitts and St Martin (Lesser Antilles). Skills include cluster analysis of chemical zoning in minerals, extensive field mapping, trace element and thermal modelling, completing detailed petrographic analysis, and attaining whole rock geochemical and trace element data (LA ICPMS, XRF). This project is part of a wider study focusing on our understanding of the physical processes controlling the frequency and magnitude of volcanic eruptions we observe at a regional and global scale.
