| Summary of thesis | The project includes field work (prospection and excavation of slags heaps and furnaces), the morphological study of the slags, mineralogical and chemical analyses of the slags (XRF, XRD, MEB, microscopy). The aim is to compare tree different sites with different kinds of slag and furnaces to eidence differences in the raw material used, the efficency of the technlogy and evaluate the amount of ironproduced. |
